Panayiotis Gogos was born in Patras, Greece, and began to study piano at the age of six at the Philharmonic Music Society. In 1998, he received the soloist diploma cum laude and the diploma for the art of counterpoint. For three years, he worked in Athens with the great pianist and professor of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Valery Sagaidatschny, and attracted attention in 2001, when he won first prize at the national piano competition X.O.N. in Athens. In 2001, he continued his piano and chamber music studies at the National Conservatory of Toulouse under Prof. Thérèse Dussaut with a scholarship of the prestigious “A. ONASSIS” Institute and graduated in 2004 with the “Prix de Perfectionnement” and the “Prix de Musique de Chambre”.
FROM 2006 UNTIL 2009, HE WAS ACCEPTED IN THE FAMOUS ARTISTS RESIDENCE “CITE INTERNATIONAL DES ARTS” IN PARIS, WHICH HE WAS CHOSEN TO REPRESENT IN 2007 AND 2008 AS SOLOIST AT THE “FETE DE LA MUSIQUE” IN PARIS.
THE GREEK ACADEMY OF ART & LITERATURE ATHENS AWARDS PANAYIOTIS GOGOS THE TITLE OF "BEST YOUNG SOLOIST" IN 2005. A CLOSE COLLABORATION CONNECTS HIM TO THE RENOWNED PIANIST AND PEDAGOGUE MONIQUE DESCHAUSSÉES IN PARIS
HE GAVE MANY CONCERTS AS A SOLOIST WITH VARIOUS ORCHESTRAS, SUCH AS ATHENS-SINFONIETTA, "SANTA MARIA" CHAMBER ORCHESTRA LUCERNE, PATRAS SOLOISTS AND MARBURG YOUTH ORCHESTRA AND WORKED TOGETHER CLOSELY WITH CONDUCTORS SUCH AS ALOIS SPRINGER, GEORG ARAVIDIS, DIETER LANGE AND DIMITRI BOTINI.
IN 2009 PANAYIOTIS GOGOS GAVE HIS DEBUT RECITAL AT THE FAMOUS KONZERTHAUS VIENNA AND IN DECEMBER 2013 WILL MAKE HIS FIRST APPEARANCE IN MUSIKVEREIN VIENNA. HIS ARTISTRY CONTINUES THE GREAT PIANISTIC TRADITION OF ALFRED CORTOT AND EDWIN FISCHER. HE IS A GRADUATE OF THE LAW SCHOOL OF ATHENS UNIVERSITY.
SINCE 2012 PANAYIOTIS GOGOS IS A BLÜTHNER ARTIST
